Speaking after lifting the trophy, captain Martin Odegaard made his team's intentions clear:

Regarding the absence of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Ethan Nwaneri, Arteta clarified that tactical registration rules forced the decisions rather than injuries. The Gunners now turn their attention to the Premier League opener against Coventry on Friday.
