Ahead of the French Cup final between Nice and Lens, violent clashes erupted in Paris. Police reported that around one hundred fans gathered in the 10th arrondissement late Thursday night before a major fight broke out along the Canal Saint-Martin.

Authorities arrested 65 individuals, placing them in custody for involvement in group violence. During the intervention, police discovered various weapons, masks, and reinforced gloves. Six people were injured in the incident, with one victim suffering a severe head injury and requiring intensive care.

Reports suggest the brawl involved Nice supporters, joined by fans from Lille, Nancy, and Saarbrücken, clashing with a group of Parisian ultras. The motive for the confrontation remains under investigation.

The match has been classified as high-risk, leading to a massive security deployment involving over 2,000 police officers. Local authorities have also banned the sale and public consumption of alcohol in the immediate vicinity of the Stade de France to prevent further unrest.
