Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior seriously considered a move to Arsenal and was genuinely interested in the project presented by the London club. According to The Athletic, the English side worked actively for several months on a potential transfer, with the proposal receiving full support from the club's hierarchy.
The interest from Arsenal caused significant concern for Real Madrid at a time when negotiations with the Brazilian's representatives had reached a critical phase. During that period, the Spanish club had already rejected two previous contract renewal offers. The primary sticking points were the player's salary and a substantial signing bonus demanded by his camp.
For a long time, the offer from the Premier League club remained a viable alternative for the forward. However, following a series of decisive talks, both parties managed to find a compromise, ultimately securing the player's future in Spain. Shortly after the deal was settled, Vinicius confirmed a new contract running until 2032.
