Ukraine secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Belgium in their opening game of the 2026 Mini-Football European Championship.
Ukraine's mini-football team opened their 2026 European Championship campaign in Bratislava with a decisive 4-0 victory over Belgium. The match took place on May 28 as part of the tournament's first round.
Vadym Ivanov led the scoring for Ukraine with a brace in the 5th and 12th minutes. Shortly after his second goal, he sustained a head injury and required hospitalization. Andriy Tsopa and Denys Blank added two more goals just before halftime.
The second half saw no further goals, though the match was marked by a red card for Belgium's Nabil Dirar following a dispute with the referee.
Following this result, Ukraine currently sits at the top of Group C alongside Serbia, who defeated Turkey 2-1 in their respective opening fixture.
