Ukraine national team returns home for training camp

The Ukraine national football team has arrived in Lviv to begin its training camp.

The Ukrainian Association of Football has confirmed that the national team has officially started its training camp. For the first time since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the squad has arrived in Ukraine to prepare, with the team based in Lviv.

Many players have previously expressed that they had not been back home since late 2021 or early 2022. This camp also marks the first time the team is working under new head coach Andrea Maldera. Ukraine is set to face Poland in a friendly match on May 31, followed by a game against Denmark on June 7.
