London side Tottenham have officially completed the signing of Scotland international forward Kirsty Hanson. The 28-year-old joins the club from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

Hanson enjoyed an impressive campaign in the Women's Super League last season, netting 12 goals in 22 appearances. Only Khadija Shaw of Manchester City and Alessia Russo of Arsenal recorded higher scoring tallies. Her stellar performance earned her the Aston Villa player of the year award, as well as the WSL goal of the season accolade.

I'm absolutely delighted. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this club. I'm ready for a new challenge and I always want to be better every single day. Kirsty Hanson

At Tottenham, Hanson will reunite with manager Martin Ho. The pair previously worked together during Ho's time as an assistant coach at Manchester United.

Martin Ho praised the addition, stating: "I know Kirsty well from working with her previously and I know the qualities she brings both as a player and as a person. She has strong experience in the league, international experience with Scotland and a clear hunger to keep pushing her game forward."
