Torino considers Ignazio Abate as new head coach

Italian side Torino is planning a managerial change at the end of the season. According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Ignazio Abate has emerged as the primary candidate for the role.
The two parties have already held an initial round of negotiations, which were described as positive. The 39-year-old is currently managing Juve Stabia, a team he successfully guided to the promotion playoffs.
However, Torino's leadership is also exploring other avenues. The club is scheduled to meet with Alberto Aquilani, who is currently in charge of Catanzaro. This process highlights the club's desire to thoroughly vet candidates before committing to a new project.
Currently, Roberto D'Aversa leads the team, having taken over in February, but a change in the dugout is widely expected following the conclusion of the current campaign.
