England head coach Thomas Tuchel has advised his World Cup squad to spend their pre-tournament holidays in United States time zones to facilitate the acclimatisation process. The manager reportedly requested that players travel west for their break to ensure they are adjusted before the tournament begins.

The wider context is that weather conditions are expected to be a significant factor, with studies suggesting that nearly a quarter of all World Cup matches could be played in temperatures exceeding 26C. Additionally, England will face a five to six-hour time difference from the UK when they play their group games in Dallas, Boston, and New Jersey.

A total of 21 players are set to arrive in Florida for a pre-tournament camp, where they will face warm-up matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica on 6 and 10 June. Other squad members, including players recently involved in European finals, are scheduled to join the training base in West Palm Beach at a later date.
