Switzerland and Czech Republic win, Serbia suffers defeat

On the evening of May 31, several international friendly matches took place as teams continue their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Switzerland earned a comfortable 4-1 win over Jordan at their home ground in St. Gallen. Breel Embolo, Dan Ndoye, Granit Xhaka, and Christian Fassnacht were on the scoresheet for the Swiss side.

The Czech Republic defeated Kosovo 2-1 at home. The lone goal for the visitors was scored by Polesye midfielder Lyndon Emerllahu, who found the back of the net in the 80th minute.

The biggest surprise of the evening came as Serbia suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Cape Verde, with goals from Kevin, Duarte, and Benchimol sealing the result for the outsiders.
