French side Strasbourg has officially confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Polish goalkeeper Milosz Piekutowski. The keeper joins the club as a free agent, having signed a deal that runs until 2029 (with an option for an additional year).
Piekutowski caught the attention of the club's staff during his performance for Jagiellonia Bialystok in their Conference League visit to the Meinau stadium back in October, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Although he arrives as a free agent, his former club will receive €400,000 in training compensation.
The young goalkeeper is expected to serve as Strasbourg's number two, as the goalkeeping department undergoes significant changes with the departures of Mike Penders, Karl-Johan Johnsson, and Stefan Bajic. Piekutowski is the third summer signing for the club, following the arrivals of Diogo Sousa and Benjamin Brantlind.
