Jessie Stapleton and Hayley Nolan have returned to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against the Netherlands and France. Both players, representing West Ham and Crystal Palace respectively, missed the April fixtures due to injury.
Denise O'Sullivan and Emily Murphy have also been named in the 25-player squad, though both will miss the home match due to suspension. Katie McCabe, following the announcement of her departure from Arsenal after 11 years, remains in the squad and is set to captain the team.
Ireland will host the Netherlands on 5 June before travelling to face France four days later. The team currently sits third in League A2, while the Netherlands top the group as the only unbeaten side so far.
The Republic of Ireland is aiming to secure a top-place finish in the group to qualify automatically for the World Cup in Brazil, looking to bypass the play-off route they have already confirmed their place in.
