Germany forward Shekiera Martinez is set to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The club has agreed a deal for the 24-year-old, who will make the move from West Ham United when the transfer window opens in June.
Martinez has become a standout figure during her time in the Women's Super League, netting six goals in the 2025-26 season. Her form earned her a maiden call-up to the Germany senior squad in October, and she has since earned four international caps.
I'm delighted to be a Spurs player. This is the perfect next step for my career and also for me to improve as a player. The club has a really good squad and a good idea of how they want to play. Shekiera Martinez
Tottenham manager Martin Ho revealed the club had scouted Martinez extensively. He described her as a forward with a strong presence, intelligence, and the mentality required to become a key player for his side.
Martinez began her professional career in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt, where she accumulated over 100 appearances and played in the Women's Champions League. After signing with West Ham in 2024 and spending time on loan at Freiburg, she enjoyed a prolific spell in the second half of the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 10 goals in 12 league appearances.
