Shakhtar agree deal for Al-Qadsiah winger

Shakhtar Donetsk continues its squad strengthening efforts ahead of the summer transfer window deadline. The club is set to add 19-year-old Brazilian winger Gabriel Carvalho to their ranks, arriving from Saudi side Al-Qadsiah.

Carvalho moved to the Middle East only last summer, joining from Brazilian club Internacional for a reported 15.6 million euros. During his time in Saudi Arabia, the youngster made 12 appearances, logging 370 minutes and contributing one goal and two assists.

Reports indicate that Shakhtar has secured a one-year loan deal for the player. The agreement includes a purchase option set at 18 million euros, allowing the Donetsk side to evaluate his performance before committing to a permanent transfer.
