Sevilla have struck a deal to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez. According to reports, the Andalusian club will pay approximately 3 million euros for 50% of the 21-year-old's rights.
Gonzalez, who served as the first-choice goalkeeper for Real Madrid Castilla over the past two seasons, was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Jose Mourinho. He has signed a contract that keeps him at the club until June 2031.
The young goalkeeper is expected to link up with the Sevilla squad at their training camp in the Netherlands within the coming hours. His arrival is set to displace Alberto Flores, whose contract expires this summer as the club looks to move on from their reserve keeper.
