Serie A and referees hold meeting to increase effective playing time
Serie A clubs and refereeing officials have held a meeting to discuss new provisions aimed at increasing the total effective playing time during matches.

League president Ezio Simonelli and representatives from the Italian Referees Association (AIA) have held a collaborative meeting with Serie A clubs. The primary objective of the session was to examine new provisions designed to increase the effective playing time in matches.
Simonelli expressed his gratitude to the clubs for their proactive involvement, noting that maintaining a constant dialogue with refereeing authorities is vital. He confirmed that the league intends to organize further opportunities for discussion throughout the season to ensure clarity and consistency.

Francesco Massini, deputy vice-president of the AIA, emphasized the importance of this exchange. He stated that the refereeing body is committed to such initiatives, as they help strengthen relations between all parties involved and ultimately contribute to a higher quality of service for the entire football system.
