Internal evaluation suggests the defensive system is still incomplete. Sabino is still in physical transition and has not returned to action, while the contract termination of Dória has left another gap in the defense. While Arboleda's return is seen as a short-term solution, both the coaching staff and the board agree that São Paulo needs another reinforcement for the position, especially considering the upcoming challenges in the Brasileirão and the Copa Sudamericana.
Financial constraints remain the primary obstacle for the club. With limited margin for investment in transfer fees, the board is prioritizing free agents or loan deals. Previous attempts to secure Domingos Duarte and Arthur Chaves were unsuccessful due to budget limitations. The club continues to monitor the market for a player who fits both the technical profile requested by Dorival Júnior and the club's financial reality.
