Manchester City
18-year-old defender Sacha Lewis has signed her first professional contract with Manchester City Women. An England Under-19 international, she has progressed through the club's academy ranks since joining at the under-14 level.
Sacha is the younger sister of Manchester City and England men's team defender Rico Lewis. Both siblings have developed through the club's academy system, marking a significant family connection to the club.
It's amazing. A lot of hard work was put in and it's such a great achievement. I'm proud. It means so much, it means even more because I support City. Sacha Lewis
During the previous campaign, which saw the City women's team secure their first Women's Super League title in a decade, Lewis was named in the matchday squad twice. She was also part of the squad for the Women's League Cup semi-final against Chelsea, though she is still awaiting her senior competitive debut.
Director of football Therese Sjogran praised the 18-year-old as a shining example to her team-mates. Andree Jeglertz's side begins their WSL title defence on September 6, facing newly promoted Birmingham City.
