Livyi Bereh head coach Oleksandr Ryabokon summarized the first leg of the UPL promotion playoff against Oleksandriya, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
According to the coach, the match featured two contrasting halves. While the first period was challenging for his side, the team showed significant progress after the interval.
They were two different halves. In the first half, a lot did not go right for our team, but after the break, we managed to make substantial progress. I believe we dominated after the break, but unfortunately, we could not clinch the win. Oleksandr Ryabokon
Ryabokon attributed the shaky start to nerves among the players. He also praised the impact of substitutes Nazar Voloshyn and Nazariy Vorobchak, who brought fresh energy to the game after coming off the bench.
The coaching staff had focused heavily on set-pieces, and a late free-kick opportunity almost secured the victory. The team is now shifting its focus to recovery and preparation for the decisive second leg.
