Real Madrid graduates who left the club in recent years are thriving in major European leagues. The club continues to monitor them, retaining buy-back clauses or sell-on rights.

The strategy employed by Real Madrid regarding its academy graduates from 'La Fábrica' is yielding significant results. Choosing to let talented youth move to top European leagues for consistent playing time has proven successful. The club not only secures substantial transfer revenue but also maintains influence through buy-back clauses and sell-on rights.
This summer, Real Madrid achieved a record income from academy sales, reaching 214.5 million euros, a stark increase from the 72 million euros recorded in 2017. A crucial element of this approach is the retention of future rights, ensuring the club can potentially re-sign these players or benefit from their continued development and market value growth.
A standout example is Nico Paz, who has become a focal point for Italian side Como. Last season, he helped the club reach the Champions League and was named the best young player in Serie A. While the Italian club purchased 100% of his rights for 60 million euros, Madrid holds an 80 million euro buy-back option for 2027. His teammate Jacobo Ramon has also established himself as a defensive leader in the same squad.
In England, Victor Muñoz has made an immediate impact at Liverpool. His move to the Premier League has seen him quickly adapt, becoming a crowd favorite at Anfield. Liverpool acquired the player, yet acknowledged Madrid's interest by allowing a buy-back clause that can be activated after his first season.
Other talents are making their mark elsewhere: Gonzalo and Cesar Palacios are gaining experience at Fulham, while Jacobo Ortega has impressed at Strasbourg in Ligue 1. Additionally, Mastantuono is currently on loan at Fiorentina, using the opportunity to regain form and confidence.
