Real Madrid on the verge of historic financial record
The Madrid club could become the first football team in history to generate over 1.2 billion euros in annual revenue.
Real Madrid is on the brink of achieving a historic financial milestone. According to AS, the club is well-positioned to set an absolute record in the football world by surpassing the 1.2 billion euro mark in annual revenue.
Despite a 2025/26 season without major trophies, the Spanish giants continue to lead in economic terms. Having previously topped the Deloitte football revenue rankings for three consecutive years, the club is now poised to exceed its previous record of 1.161 billion euros set last season.
The primary driver of this growth is commercial revenue. Through marketing, merchandising, and sponsorships, the club generated 594 million euros, representing a 23% increase over previous figures. A significant boost is also provided by the renovated Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Since its reconstruction, the arena has been actively used for concerts, VIP events, and various commercial projects, with stadium-related revenue reaching 233 million euros.
Financial stability is further reinforced by long-term partnerships. The club has extended its contract with Emirates until 2031 and is currently in negotiations with Adidas for a new deal. Projections suggest that total sponsorship revenue could approach 300 million euros per season.
