Real Madrid are looking to significantly revamp their defensive line in the upcoming summer transfer window. According to reports from Germany, the Spanish giants have identified Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah as a primary target.
The 23-year-old English defender has impressed since his 35 million euro move to the German club in 2025. With club leadership targeting at least two new defensive signings, Quansah has emerged as a top candidate due to his consistent performances in the Bundesliga and his experience with the England national team.
Last season, the defender made 28 appearances in the league, scoring 4 goals, and also featured in three matches for the Three Lions at the 2026 World Cup. However, Real Madrid face competition for his signature. Arsenal, who have previously been linked with the player, remain interested in his development and are prepared to enter the race should Leverkusen decide to put him on the market.
