Raúl Asensio sidelined with thigh injury

Real Madrid have confirmed that central defender Raúl Asensio has sustained an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh. The 23-year-old underwent medical tests following physical discomfort.

The club has stated that medical staff are currently monitoring his progress. As a result, no specific timeframe for his return to action has been established at this stage.

Asensio has been a regular feature for Madrid this season, having played 34 matches across all competitions. During the 2025/26 campaign, he has contributed two goals and one assist, while also being part of the squad that secured the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
