Raphinha to miss Brazil clash with India after fresh injury setback
Barcelona star Raphinha has been released from Brazil's squad after sustaining a thigh injury during the match against Australia.

Brazil talisman Raphinha has been ruled out of the upcoming friendly against India. The Barcelona winger sustained a right thigh muscle injury during Tuesday's 4-2 victory over Australia.
The player was withdrawn at half-time and replaced by Endrick. According to reports, Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has opted not to call up a replacement for the stand-in captain.
The national team's medical staff moved quickly to manage the situation. An official statement from the CBF confirmed that imaging tests revealed a "small" muscle oedema. It was mutually agreed that releasing the forward back to Catalonia is a necessary precautionary measure to avoid further damage.
This setback is particularly concerning for Barcelona given the player's history with thigh issues; he missed over 150 days last season due to four separate injuries in the same area. Given his blistering form—including 12 domestic goals and a brace against Feyenoord in the Champions League—preserving his fitness is a major priority for the club.
Barcelona are now monitoring his condition closely ahead of their La Liga fixture against Getafe on October 10.
