Portuguese coach Pedro Emanuel has been officially unveiled as the new manager of Vasco da Gama. During his first press conference at the Moacyr Barbosa training center, the new boss made it clear that his primary objective is to recover lost ground in the Brazilian championship.

Emanuel is recognized for building highly disciplined and tactically organized teams.

As a player, Emanuel enjoyed a solid career as a defender, winning the Champions League with Porto in 2004 under José Mourinho. His managerial experience includes winning the Portuguese Cup with Académica and the King's Cup in Saudi Arabia with Al-Taawoun.
