Pedro Emanuel adjusts Vasco squad for Fluminense clash

Vasco da Gama manager Pedro Emanuel has set his team for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 16 against Fluminense. The Portuguese head coach has implemented several adjustments to the squad following their midweek Copa Sudamericana outing.

The midfield has undergone the most significant changes. The club will be without captain Thiago Mendes, who is serving a suspension after being sent off in the previous round against Paysandu. Jair has been selected to step into the role, joining Tchê Tchê and Ramon Rique in a three-man midfield setup.

In the attacking third, David has earned the starting spot, winning the competition over teammates Spinelli and Brenner. He is expected to lead the line for the Cruz-Maltino at the Maracanã.
