Oleksandr Romanchuk: On his debut call-up to the national team

Defender Oleksandr Romanchuk has joined the Ukraine national team for the first time. The player admitted that he has not yet fully processed the reality of the call-up, even though more than two weeks have passed since he received the news.

Romanchuk shared that he learned about the potential selection right after a training session and was pleasantly stunned. He noted that his adaptation to the new squad is going well, thanks to a warm reception from teammates, many of whom he knows from his time in the UPL and the U-21 national team.

The player confirmed that he has already had a conversation with the head coach, though he kept the tactical details private. Romanchuk believes his experience with rapid adaptation at new clubs, including his stint with the Romanian side Craiova, will help him integrate into the national squad as quickly as possible.
