Nico Paz wants to stay at Como, but Real Madrid holds the key

Attacking midfielder Nico Paz is eager to extend his stay with Italian side Como. The Argentine star hopes to continue working under Cesc Fabregas for another season, having played a pivotal role in the team's qualification for the Champions League.

Despite the player's preference, the final decision remains with Real Madrid. The Spanish club included three buy-back options in his contract, which runs until 2028. While an 8-million-euro option expired in the summer of 2025, the club can now bring him back for 9 million euros, with the price increasing to 10 million next summer.

Paz enjoyed a productive campaign in Serie A last season, contributing 12 goals and 6 assists. The player has previously stated that he prefers to focus on his current club rather than speculating about a return to Spain.
