NEC head coach Dick Schreuder has confirmed his starting line-up for the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round against Olympiakos. The team news features significant changes, with veteran Dusan Tadic starting on the bench.
Meanwhile, Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano is entirely missing from the matchday squad. Earlier today, it was reported that NEC and PSV reached an agreement in principle regarding the player's transfer, ruling him out of the competition.
Jamiro Monteiro, who arrived from PEC Zwolle this summer, has been drafted into the midfield to replace Sano. Gonzalo Crettaz starts in goal for NEC, supported by a defensive line of Tobias Storm, Philippe Sandler, and Deveron Fonville. The midfield quartet is completed by Sami Ouaissa, Darko Nejasmic, and Clement Bischoff.
Up front, Tjaronn Chery, Bryan Linssen, and Noé Lebreton have been tasked with leading the attack. Tadic, who joined the Nijmegen side on a free transfer during the summer window, remains a key option for the manager to introduce later in the game.
