Napoli have stepped up their search for a new forward to bolster their attacking department following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Fenerbahce. While the current squad already features David Neres, Rasmus Hojlund, Matteo Politano, and Alisson Santos, the club hierarchy is prioritizing the acquisition of a potent goalscorer to maintain their competitive edge.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A side is actively exploring the market and has made enquiries regarding three Premier League forwards: Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson.
Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is among those under consideration. The Brazilian recently returned from an injury-hit 2025 calendar year, marking his comeback with a goal against Aston Villa in December. His extensive experience in England remains a key draw for potential suitors.
Another alternative being evaluated is Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch international, who previously excelled in Serie A with Bologna, has seen his situation at Old Trafford draw interest from clubs looking to secure his services.
Finally, the club is assessing Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson. Jackson, who spent time on loan at Bayern Munich during the 2025-26 season, remains an option as Napoli weigh their shortlist of candidates to ensure they can move swiftly before the transfer window closes.
