Myles Lewis-Skelly keen to stay at Arsenal despite transfer links

19-year-old Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly has no intention of leaving the club this summer. Despite reports linking him to domestic rivals Chelsea and Manchester United, the player is committed to fighting for his place under Mikel Arteta.

Lewis-Skelly enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 campaign, playing a key role in the Premier League title success and starting the Champions League final. While the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes increases competition, Lewis-Skelly, who signed a long-term deal in 2025, believes the challenging environment is ideal for his development.

Arsenal have not actively offered the player for transfer. Although the club is focused on balancing the books through player trading, Lewis-Skelly is not viewed as a necessary departure. However, the club remains flexible as the September 1 transfer deadline approaches, and would consider offers if specific targets fail to move on.

Interest from elsewhere appears limited. Sources indicate Chelsea have a crowded midfield, while Manchester United are wary of the potential asking price, though they do value his versatility as both a midfielder and a left-back.
