Mykola Vechurko sets a unique UPL record
Kudrivka midfielder Mykola Vechurko has set a new record for the longest gap between appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Mykola Vechurko has made history in Ukrainian football by setting a unique record in the Premier League. For the 34-year-old midfielder, the match against Livyi Bereh marked his first appearance in the top division after an incredibly long absence.
The midfielder was away from the UPL for 11 years and 294 days. This is officially the longest gap between matches in the history of the Ukrainian championship for players who have returned to the top tier. Vechurko surpassed the previous record by seven days.
The last time the midfielder featured in a top-flight match prior to this return was on October 18, 2014, while playing for Hoverla Uzhhorod in a game against Dynamo Kyiv.
This achievement highlights the player's persistence, having previously played for Kudrivka in the First League before making his way back to the top division with the club.
