Morocco defeated Haiti 4-2 in the second round of the 2026 World Cup group stage. The match, held in Atlanta, proved to be an intense affair as the underdogs managed to cause significant problems for the favorites early on.
Haiti stunned their opponents with an early goal in the 10th minute, courtesy of an own goal by Yassine Bounou. Although Morocco struggled to find their rhythm initially, Achraf Hakimi leveled the score just before halftime. Haiti regained the lead through Isidor, but Ismael Saibari responded immediately to ensure the teams went into the break level.
In the second half, Morocco's superior class became the deciding factor. Mohamed Ouahbi's team methodically broke down the opposition's defense, eventually scoring two late goals through Soufiane Rahimi and Yassine to seal the victory.
This result is a crucial step for Morocco in their bid to advance from the group stage, while Haiti, despite a valiant effort, finished the match without any points.
