Monaco in talks to terminate Paul Pogba's contract

The leadership of Monaco has initiated discussions with Paul Pogba's representatives regarding the early termination of his contract. According to reports, the parties are currently working on financial terms to officially end the partnership before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
A fresh thigh injury sustained by the 33-year-old during training on Tuesday has further complicated his situation, though the club emphasized that the decision to potentially part ways was made well before this setback.
The French midfielder joined the Monégasques in June 2025 following an 18-month suspension for a doping violation, but his return to professional football has been challenging. Due to recurring fitness issues, including a calf injury, Pogba only managed six appearances last season, mostly as a substitute.

Back in July, Monaco's general director Tiago Scuro admitted that the player had not lived up to expectations. Despite the midfielder's positive attitude toward his teammates, his current output has not aligned with the club's strategic objectives.
