Paul Pogba is set to leave Monaco by mutual agreement. The club and the 33-year-old midfielder are currently in negotiations to terminate his two-year contract after just 12 months of service.

The Ligue 1 side had high hopes of returning the 2018 World Cup winner to his peak fitness levels, but they have ultimately felt unable to reach that goal. Pogba has managed just six appearances for the team since joining as a free agent last summer.

A recent hamstring injury sustained during the club's pre-season tour in England has compounded the situation, with fears the midfielder could be sidelined for several months. However, discussions regarding the mutual termination of his deal have been ongoing for several weeks prior to this setback.

Pogba’s stint at the club followed a long period of inactivity due to a ban for breaching anti-doping regulations. He made his debut in November 2025, marking his first professional appearance in 26 months.
