Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven was forced off during Sunday's Nations League match against Serbia, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Netherlands. The defender sustained a hand injury following a collision with Serbian forward Luka Jović.
Despite the substitution, the Netherlands head coach Xavi downplayed concerns regarding the defender's condition, stating that it was not a major issue. The player will now undergo further assessment by Tottenham's medical staff.
The club is awaiting results to determine if the defender will be available for Saturday's Premier League trip to Manchester United at Old Trafford. This injury adds to Tottenham's defensive concerns, as another Dutch representative from the club, Jan Paul van Hecke, had already been forced to withdraw from the national team camp due to a leg injury sustained on September 27.
