Metalist 1925 confirms departure of midfielder Vyacheslav Churko
The Kharkiv club has parted ways with 33-year-old midfielder Vyacheslav Churko as his contract has expired.
Kharkiv-based Metalist 1925 has officially confirmed the departure of 33-year-old attacking midfielder Vyacheslav Churko. The player is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the club.
In an official statement, the club thanked the midfielder for his leadership and dedication during his two-year spell. Churko joined the Kharkiv side in the summer of 2024. Over two seasons, he made 45 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
This marks another personnel change for the club following the 2025/26 season, in which Metalist 1925 finished fifth in the UPL with 51 points, missing out on a European qualification spot. Previously, former Dynamo Kyiv player Vladyslav Kalytvintsev also left the team.
