Messi and Ronaldo to play on the same team for Tevez's farewell match
Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have agreed to play on the same side in a tribute match celebrating Carlos Tevez's career in December 2026.

Carlos Tevez is planning a historic event: the former Argentina forward has announced his farewell match, scheduled for December 2026. The highlight of the evening at the stadium in Buenos Aires will be the appearance of two of the greatest players in history, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, playing for the same team.
Tevez, who ended his professional career in 2022, personally reached out to both superstars with the proposal. According to the Argentine, it has always been his dream to see them side-by-side to allow the world to witness their shared magic. Both players, who Tevez previously played alongside at Manchester United and with the Argentina national team, have given their consent to participate.
