Italian publication Tuttosport, in collaboration with Transfermarkt, has published its latest list of the most promising young footballers worldwide who are currently in contention for the Golden Boy 2026 award.
Ukraine is represented by two players in this prestigious ranking. Dynamo Kyiv striker Matviy Ponomarenko is currently placed 86th, notably sitting ahead of Kylian Mbappe's brother. Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk forward Kauan Elias holds the 84th position.
The rankings are derived from a system that analyzes key performance indicators, individual impact on the team, and goal contributions to ensure an objective evaluation of talent.
The current list of prospects, tracking the world's top U-21 talent, is subject to monthly updates, allowing other rising players to break into the contention for the award.
In October, experts will narrow the list down to 20 finalists, from which the eventual winner of the Golden Boy award will be chosen.
