Matviy Ponomarenko finishes as top scorer of the 2025/26 UPL season
Dynamo Kyiv striker Matviy Ponomarenko has won the Ukrainian Premier League golden boot, scoring 13 goals in 15 appearances.

Matviy Ponomarenko has been crowned the top scorer of the Ukrainian Premier League for the 2025/26 season. The 20-year-old Dynamo Kyiv forward secured the individual honor following a decisive goal in the final round of the season, helping his side to a 3:2 victory over Kudrivka.
This final goal ensured Ponomarenko finished the campaign with a total of 13 goals in 15 appearances. He narrowly edged out Pylyp Budkivskyi, who finished second with 12 goals, while Kudrivka midfielder Andrii Storchous rounded out the top three after scoring a brace against Dynamo in the closing match.
For Dynamo Kyiv, the domestic season concluded with a fourth-place finish. They ended the campaign behind champions Shakhtar Donetsk, as well as LNZ Cherkasy and Polissya Zhytomyr.
