Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed he will stay on as the club's head coach. The decision follows a period of reflection during the international break, after the 74-year-old had previously admitted he would consider his future following three consecutive defeats.
The team suffered back-to-back losses against Rangers and a defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League. Despite the pressure, O'Neill has declared himself fully committed to the task ahead.
I am. I'm extremely prepared for it. We had a difficult week. It can happen, you can lose to your arch-rivals, you can lose a European game. It's certainly not the end of the world. But I'm ready to go. I want to lead the club, I want to try and win the league. Martin O'Neill
O'Neill explained that while he did take a moment to reflect on recent events, his determination to lead the club to a league title remains unchanged. He stated that he is raring to go and believes the squad is ready for the upcoming challenges.
