Marseille is undergoing a significant squad overhaul this summer, with numerous departures and arrivals following the appointment of Nicolas Chabot as head coach. The club has now confirmed the recruitment of Carina Blatrip-Reyes to strengthen their defensive options.

The 27-year-old Panamanian center-back joins from Italian club Lazio, where she made 27 appearances across all competitions last season. Blatrip-Reyes brings international experience to the squad, having represented her country at the 2023 World Cup.

This signing marks the second defensive arrival for Marseille this week. On Tuesday, the club secured 24-year-old full-back Amandine Béché on a two-year deal, arriving as a free agent from Strasbourg, where she previously served as a regular starter.
