London club Chelsea has officially confirmed the signing of 21-year-old right-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta. The defender has committed to a long-term contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2033.
While the financial details remain undisclosed by the club, reports suggest the transfer fee is in the region of 55 million euros.
Palestra spent the previous season on loan at Cagliari. During his time there, he made 37 appearances in Serie A, contributing one goal and four assists, proving his ability to compete at a high level.
