Manchester City continues its active pursuit of new talent under Enzo Maresca. The club is considering several players the Italian coach previously worked with at Chelsea, most notably Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Portuguese winger Pedro Neto.
However, the London side is keen to stabilize its squad ahead of the new season. Chelsea has officially set a firm deadline regarding the 25-year-old midfielder: Manchester City must pay 140.5 million euros by 7:00 PM on Friday, August 14, or negotiations will be automatically terminated.
Fernandez remains a significant figure for the London club, having recorded 15 goals and seven assists in 54 matches during the previous campaign. This performance level underscores why Chelsea is maintaining such a strict valuation during these final hours of potential negotiations.
