Liverpool have identified Brentford duo Michael Kayode and Kevin Schade as primary transfer targets as they plot a potential £115m double swoop. The Merseyside club is looking to address significant squad depth issues with these high-profile additions.
Michael Kayode, the 22-year-old Italian full-back, has emerged as a key defensive target. Since joining Brentford from Fiorentina, he has established himself as a reliable Premier League defender. His versatility and ability to play on either flank have attracted interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, but Liverpool currently lead the pursuit as manager Andoni Iraola looks to resolve ongoing concerns on the right side of his defense.
The club's ambitions also include attacking reinforcements, with 24-year-old forward Kevin Schade firmly on the radar. Sporting director Julian Ward is reportedly preparing for a potential move in the January window, especially as Schade has started the season in strong form, scoring three goals in his first five appearances. While Brentford are currently in contract extension talks with the Germany international, a failure to reach an agreement could trigger an immediate bid from Anfield.
A double deal for the pair represents a substantial investment. Brentford are expected to demand at least £60m for Schade, while Kayode’s long-term contract, running until 2032, places his valuation between £51m and £55m. As it stands, no formal negotiations have taken place, but this is expected to evolve as Liverpool formalize their interest.
