Liverpool's search for fresh attacking talent has seen them linked with several high-profile prospects in Ligue 1. Recent reports have suggested the club is looking at PSG duo Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola as potential additions to their squad.
However, according to journalist Romain Molina, the Anfield club’s interest in Mbaye is not as advanced as previously speculated. While the winger is undoubtedly on their radar, he does not sit at the very top of their recruitment list during these final stages of the summer window.

The situation appears heavily influenced by agent dynamics. Molina suggests that Mbaye’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is working to facilitate a move, but Liverpool’s focus has shifted towards Bradley Barcola. The representation style of Barcola’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, stands in contrast to Mendes, with Sissoko known for more aggressive, direct negotiation tactics that seem to align better with Liverpool's current strategy.
Financial realities are also dictating the club's approach. With PSG reportedly seeking fees in excess of £150m for their two young talents, Liverpool are keeping a close watch on more affordable options. The recruitment team has been tracking players like Yankuba Minteh, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, and Said El Mala, as they work against the clock to finalize their squad before the deadline.
