Liverpool's Giorgi Mamardashvili has been fined for using a mobile phone while driving.
Liverpool and Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has been sanctioned for a traffic violation. Police stopped the player on the M6 motorway near Warrington for using a mobile phone while driving.
Although the goalkeeper denied the allegations, the court found him guilty based on written evidence submitted by the police. In addition to a fine of 440 pounds, he is required to pay 120 pounds in court costs and a 176-pound surcharge. Furthermore, six penalty points were added to his driving license.
This season, Mamardashvili has made 20 appearances for the club, keeping three clean sheets.
