Rennes striker Estéban Lepaul has officially extended his stay with the Breton club. The top scorer from last season's Ligue 1 campaign has signed a new deal that runs until 2030, adding one year to his previous contract which was set to expire in 2029.
This extension serves as a strategic move for the club to secure their key forward. Lepaul had been the subject of concrete interest from several European teams, including Atlético de Madrid, Como, and Benfica.
Despite this interest, the player expressed a desire to remain with Rennes, particularly with the aim of experiencing European football in the Europa League with the Rouge et Noir.
