Leaked concept kit reveals Mexico's 100th anniversary look
A mockup of the Mexico national team's commemorative kit for the Mexican Football Federation's centenary in 2027 has surfaced online.
Images depicting a potential commemorative kit for the Mexico national team, celebrating the centenary of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) in 2027, have surfaced online. The concept was shared by Footy Headlines, based on a mockup created by the Spanish-language football channel Gol de Sergio.
The design draws inspiration from the kits worn by the Mexico squad during their early years, specifically referencing the uniforms used at the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay, as well as the 1950 and 1954 tournaments. The kit features a prominent maroon color, which was a primary shade for the team at the time.
The shirt includes a historical crest on the left chest and the Adidas logo on the right. The kit is combined with blue shorts and socks, mirroring the look from the 1930 World Cup. This choice of accessories specifically harkens back to the 1930 debut rather than later variations.
The Mexican Football Federation was formally established on August 26, 1927. The organization was created to manage both amateur and professional football activities and to oversee Mexico's participation in international competitions.
While there is no official release date, it is expected that the kit could be launched during the first half of 2027 as part of the federation's centennial celebrations.
