The Ukrainian club Kryvbas is currently facing financial challenges linked to the company that funds the team. According to journalist Igor Tsyganik, the club's management deserves recognition for their efforts to navigate the crisis and ensure the team finished the season despite the instability.
Tsyganik explained that the club's continued existence depends on financial adjustments, including the sale of key players, such as the recent departure of Mendoza. While these measures are expected to keep the club afloat for the new season, specific sporting goals remain uncertain.

The situation also leaves the future of head coach Patrick van Leeuwen in doubt. Kryvbas concluded their UPL campaign in 7th place, securing 48 points during the season.
