Krépin Diatta leaves Monaco after five seasons

Krépin Diatta is no longer a Monaco player. The 27-year-old right-back has officially departed the club following the expiration of his contract this Tuesday.

The Senegal international joined the team in January 2021 from Club Brugge. Over his five-and-a-half-season tenure, he made 143 appearances for the club. While he did not lift any major trophies, he was part of the squad that reached the Coupe de France final in 2021.

Diatta was a key figure during the 2022-2023 campaign, featuring in 43 matches. However, his role transitioned over time, eventually seeing him serve as a squad rotation option in later years.

As of now, his next destination remains unconfirmed. His consistent experience as a starter for the Senegal national team at the World Cup level may prove beneficial as he seeks a new club.
